All clients that attend ProActive Rehabilitation and Health’s studios can be guaranteed that they will be treated like a person and never as a condition or disability. Our moto is that every client has the opportunity to make gains in either their function and quality of life, through the development of improved movement, improved awareness of capabilities and improved mental health by increasing their activity levels and capacity for movement.

Clients can access Exercise Physiology Services under the NDIS scheme through Portal Managed, Plan Managed or Self Managed funding models.

It is very important to know that funding for Exercise Physiology through the NDIS can only be accessed under Improved Health and Well Being.

As registered Exercise Physiologists with the NDIS, ProActive Rehabilitation and Health aims to provide physical wellbeing services to clients with disabilities.

ProActive Rehabilitation and Health’s Exercise Physiologists provide comprehensive and specialised exercise regimes, tailored to the specific needs of the individual. ProActive Rehabilitation and Health aims to enable participants to participate more in the community and to achieve their personal goals. Exercise Physiology services can be utilised to improve function through muscles that have become inactive or weakened as a result of a client’s disability or condition. This will ensure that clients maintain their quality of life and do not lose further function.

Our two studios are wheelchair accessible and have equipment that can be altered to accommodate all conditions and aid in the development of motor control, isolated muscle strength, neuromuscular re-patterning and the development of strength and stability.

The conditions that will benefit from an Exercise Program with ProActive Rehabilitation and Health’s Exercise Physiologists are:

  • Stroke
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Amputations
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Gillian Barre Syndrome
  • Acquired Brain Injuries
  • Autism
